Adel Players

In 1945 a number of people who had been involved in amateur theatre during the war got together to form Adel Players. Within a couple of years the group became part of the Adel War Memorial Association and has performed all its plays at Adel Memorial Hall ever since. Adel Players organise monthly play readings, trips to the professional theatre, and perform three plays each season. There are 36 members at present, the youngest being 17 and the oldest 83. Some work backstage on sets, costumes, props, lighting and sound, and carry out duties front-of-house on performance nights. Others concentrate on acting. Some do both!
Tickets for plays (£5) can be reserved by telephoning 0113 2755585 or you can
e-mail your ticket requirements to tickets@adel-players.org.uk.
