Leeds Lacrosse Club Leeds Lacrosse Club is an up and coming club with players of all abilities from beginners, to players who represent their territory and country. The ladies team is called The Leeds Penguins due to being the most Northern league club and currently competes in the North Lacrosse League, playing teams from across the North of England from Manchester to the Wirral. Previously known as the Harrogate Penguins Lacrosse Club, the team moved to Leeds in 2005 to allow for club growth and development. Since moving to Leeds the club has gone from strength to strength. In 2008 the club expanded to include a men’s team and then became known as the Leeds Lacrosse Club. In the 2007/08 season the Penguins were winners of the North League Plate competition. The Penguins also regularly travel on tours and were winners of Amsterdam Lowlands Tournament beating the Dutch National Team to the title.
